History of Dynamic Futures

Dynamic Futures was born out of the relationships built during the work of the UNDP's 'DEEP' Program. The Deprived families Economic Empowerment Program aims to help the poorest families in Gaza by giving them the tools and skills to create their own enterprises and support themselves without the reliance of aid.

This, work, in turn, has created links with the children of families met through the work of the UNDP, and enabled access to those talented young people who most need support.

Al Fakhoora work to maintain the progress and fulfilment of young people in occupied Gaza by using financial aid to protect and encourage education. With the occupation remaining steadfast for now, our work ensures that the right to education is not taken from the young people of Gaza and the West Bank.

Growing since 2009, with an annual intake of 110 new students, the project is currently in its second year and admissions are underway for this early September’s hopefuls. 100 of the scholarship positions are to study within Palestine, and a further ten places are provided for study abroad.

At the close of the ten-year program, Gaza will be home to 1200 individuals of excellence, with the tools to go on and become community, business and national leaders of their own country.

Although the scope of the program has now grown to include support for the young people of these target families, the objective then was to create self-sustainment for poor families, and that core objective remains today.
